Polaris Housing Systems

Any planned housing development would ultimately include a few housing styles and sizes, however this marketing brochure is based on one specific «typical» style: a two story, single family home with a gross area of approximately 119m2 (1280 ft2). The house features 3 bedrooms, a study area, and 2 1/2 baths. The overal design, as well as finishing details are open to change in collaboration with the Target Market as the project progresses from the feasibility study stage.

The Drawings and Photos included are to provide a «concrete» example of a Modular Polaris System home.

Concrete modules

Each standar module has an inside floor area of 15,4m2 (166 ft2), and inside height of 2,44m (8 ft) and consists of a floor, ceiling, 2 side walls, and an end wall.

Roof Structure

The roof structure, like the rest of the house is a monolithic reinforced concrete module. It will be produced using the Modular Polaris System technology.

There are plans to develop a Modular Polaris System roof technology that will produce a roof that does not required shingles. The concrete surface would be patterned and coloured to have the look of either slate tiles or clay tiles.

Exterior wall surfaces

Exterior walls can be clad with R20 sprayed-on polyurethane insulation. Over that a polymer mesh would be applied and finally multiple layers of acrylic stucco. Other exterior surfacing such as vinyl siding can also be used depending on specific market needs.

The Interior

Benefits

The interior of the modules will be completely finished at the manufacturing plant as to the end-product specifications. Wall surfaces, flooring, interior partitions, stairs, windows, doors, cabinets, and carpentry, paint, plumbing, heat and electrical will all be factory finished in an assembly-line environment – producing quality controlled and quality consistent modules.
